Track calculators

Lap times, standard track distances, repeats, and interval session clocks on a 400 m track.

Track tools assume a standard 400 metre oval unless a page says otherwise. A lap is 0.4 km. A mile on the track is four laps plus 9.3 metres. Splits are even running at the pace implied by your goal time.

Repeat and interval calculators turn a work distance, a pace, rest, and a rep count into a session clock. Rest is recovery, not a physiology model. Yasso 800s map a marathon goal clock onto 800 metre repeat times as a named heuristic, not a predictor.

Road race predictors and VDOT training paces still live in races and training. Use track pages when the session is on a measured oval or when you think in laps.
