What this result means
Time on feet is the sum of run durations, regardless of pace or distance. Coaches sometimes plan by hours instead of kilometres when fatigue matters more than GPS distance.
Enter each run length; the calculator totals them. Use it to check whether a week matches a time-based plan or to compare blocks where pace varied widely.
Three runs of 45:00, 50:00, and 1:35:00 sum to 3:10:00 on feet for the week — about 190 minutes.
If you swap one 50:00 run for 55:00, the total moves by exactly five minutes. Pace and distance are not required.
Calculation method
Total time on feet = sum of entered durations in seconds, displayed as h:mm:ss.
Exact arithmetic. No pace or distance conversion.
Rest days, walks, and cross-training are not included unless you enter them as run durations.
Does not estimate fitness or race readiness from time alone.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as time on feet?
Any run duration you enter — warm-up jog, intervals, cooldown included if you type the full clock time for that outing.
Why plan by time instead of distance?
On hilly, hot, or trail weeks, hours can track load better than flat-road kilometres. Time on feet is a simple roll-up, not a training-load model.
Can I use this for a multi-week block?
Yes. Enter all run durations in the block; the total is still exact addition. For weekly views, enter only that week’s runs.
Do I need an account?
No. Durations are summed locally in your browser.
