What this result means
Same generator as the marathon band, half the distance. The half-marathon pace calculator already answers average pace and a short split list. This page is the full km and mile band you can screenshot or print.
Even is the default. 2% negative uses the shared half-profile engine. Custom distances belong on the kilometre or mile split calculators, not here.
A 1:45:00 even band is 4:59/km. 5 km is 24:53, 10 km 49:46, 20 km 1:39:32, finish 1:45:00. Mile 10 is about 1:20:06 at 8:01/mile.
A 1:30:00 even band is about 4:16/km. The 2% negative option makes the first 10.55 km slower than 45:00 and the close faster, still 1:30:00 at 21.0975 km.
Calculation method
Even: time × (marker ÷ 21.0975). Negative 2%: first-half time = total ÷ 1.98, faster second-half pace after the midpoint. Mile markers use 1.609344 km per mile. Times round to the nearest second.
Exact arithmetic on the official half-marathon distance.
A band is not a crowd, a hill at 16 km, or your breakfast. The first 3 km often run fast in halves; the table still assumes the profile you picked.
Frequently asked questions
What pace is a 1:45 half-marathon band?
4:59 per kilometre and about 8:01 per mile even. Enter 1:45:00 for the full km and mile tables.
How is this different from the half-marathon pace calculator?
That page highlights average pace and a short split list. This generator prints every kilometre and every mile.
Can I negative-split a half band?
Yes. Choose 2% negative. Halfway will be later than 52:30 on a 1:45 goal; the finish stays 1:45:00.
